Hi Jesh! I love this pattern but am a bit of a novice knitter. I've done lacing and knitting in the round before with great success.
I have a few question about the pattern if you could help me out I would be very grateful!
1. When doing the sl1YO, p1 . Do you s1 with the yarn in back, then bing the yarn to the front for a yarn over?
2. For patt round 1. When knitting the stitch behind the YO - does that mean knitting the third stitch, slipping YO pwise, move yarn to back, then knit?
3. For patt rnd 2: p st tog= does that mean purl two stitches together?
Any assistance you can give would be awesome!
This is such a wonderful hat!!!
Thank you!

Those little triangular shawls are compelling once you get started knitting, eh?

It looks great -- the tiny edging along the hypotenuse is just right, it complements the bottom edge perfectly.

Ooh, it's lovely.

How hard would it be to alter to make larger? I find I just don't wear my shawlettes very much..

By George, you've done it again! I can't wait to sink my needles into this one. The construction is so neat.

I think the very word shawlette is stupid, why can't they just be small shawls? And everything you say about them is true - I'm a little incredulous about the reaons why some of them are so popular. Bandwagon anyone?

Your idea is great - original, quirky and very pretty.

Being teal certainly doesn't hurt either!
